Kanika African Sculptures

Upcoming Events

Kanika African Sculpture's black doll figures are hand-sculpted from clay by Kanika, painted with a color glaze, fired in a kiln to over 1,800 degrees, then carefully draped with vividly colored, authentic African fabric that represents traditional and modern methods of head and body wrapping.  Authentic beadwork, wire jewelry, leather, fur, and shells are often added to embellish each African doll figurine.  Each of the 7" to 15" male and female black doll sculptures has its own unique personality.  They portray a jubilance of spirit, beauty, majesty, and a host of other characteristics.  Many people believe these ethnic dolls bring good luck.
